Mingenew moved one step closer to its third consecutive North Midlands Football League Premiership when they advanced into the Farmoz Grand Final with a 4 goal win over Three Springs 8-6 [54] to 4-10 [34].

In the Reserves, Dongara Eagles 7 - 8 [50] ran out convincing winners over Mingenew Bulldogs 2 - 2 [14] to set up for a back to back Grand Final appearance. Dongara had a 4 goal first half to defeat Morawa 5 - 2 [32] to 2 - 5 [17] in the Colts, while Carnamah/Perenjori held on to run out 9-point winners over a gallant Dongara Nippers.

In cold and wet conditions, the Mingenew Bulldogs set up their win in the first half, kicking 4 goals to 1. Joshua Starick was once again scintillating in the mid-field pouncing on the ball time and again with solid back up by Murray Thomas (2), Brett Michael & Jeremy Wasley fed the ball through to Wesley Swift for 3 goals. The Bombers Bill McGree worked tirelessly throughout. Jamie Antonio, Craig Morgan, Jamie Couper and Grant Eva where also listed as better players for Three Springs.

Dongara continued their dominance of the Reserve Grade competition when they held Mingenew to only one goal for the first half. Colin Capewell and Clay Bussenschutt, along with Russell Fisher and Des Norrish were listed the best in an all round solid performance from the Eagles. Anthony Smythe, Cliff Jones and Carl Forward tried to no avail for the Bulldogs.

Next week, the NMFL Farmoz Grand Final will be held at Mingenew. In the League, Carnamah/Perenjori will face Mingenew, Coorow/Latham will play Dongara in the Reserves, Carnamah/Perenjori will play Dongara in the Colts and Morawa will play Carnamah/Perenjori in the Nippers.
