BRUCE McVEE - 700 Games

On the 9th June 2002 Umpire Bruce McVee celebrated his 700th game of Umpiring Country Football, at Mingenew. Bruce has been Umpiring throughout this League in stints since the early 1970’s. In that time he held the position of Umpires Coordinator for three years. He enjoys the “good bush footy”, being involved with young people with so much talent and the positive support he gets from the people throughout this League. His wife Shelley and their three children are Bruce’s biggest fans and without their support he would not have been able to endure such a distinguish career. The whole family were in attendance to witness Bruce’s 700th game. Following the game, players and supporters gathered to witness a presentation to Bruce McVee by the North Midlands Football League President Mr. Kerry Mutter.
