Win Effortlessly

Coorow Latham ran out easy 131 point winners over
Morawa in the first half of their game in round two, game
six of the Cunningham Ag Service’s North Midlands Football League. In a game of two distinct
halves Coorow Latham put the result out of doubt by half time leading by 99
points and then Morawa displayed true grit and determination to fight out the
second half. Chris Latham was superb in midfield for Coorow in the first half.
Using chains of handball the Coorow Latham midfield controlled the game,
giving their forwards every opportunity to convert. However in the second half,
the young Morawa side, closed down the game led by veteran Phil Beard fought
back and were unlucky not to outscore Coorow Latham in the third quarter.
Late goals to Coorow Latham in the final term took the shine off a good
second half performance by Tigers.
The umpires awarded the Belt Up game ball to Chris Latham of Coorow Latham.

The Carnamah/Perenjori Roo's demonstrated why they're
the topside, when they completely outclassed a disappointing Dongara side
winning by 129 points.
From the first bounce, the mid-field dominance of Peter
Machin, Geoff Page and David Lete was too strong for Dongara as they belted 14
goals for the first half setting up a winning margin. Paul Shearer, Brad Ralph
and Beau Patton worked tirelessly all day but could do little to counteract the
continual onslaught of the Roo's.
The umpires awarded the Belt Up game ball to David Lete of Carnamah/Perenjori.
